Amstutz Woodworking operates out of our well equipped timber framing shop located in the high peaks of the Adirondack Mountains. We pride ourselves in being craftspeople. All of our staff are involved in the "hands-on" work of crafting frames in the shop and raising our frames on site. Over the years, we have had the pleasure of building a wide variety of timber frame structures in the Adirondacks and throughout the Northeast. We primarily design, fabricate and raise timber frames for custom timber frame homes. We also supply frames for barns, outbuildings, gazebos, timber roof systems and floor systems for log, stick frame and hybrid structures. We also enjoy building with logs and "natural timbers". We have crafted full scribe log structures, log post and beam structures, log trusses and log stairways. Our crew's collective expertise includes general contracting, standard stick frame construction, renovation of Victorian homes, log building, cabinet making and boat building. Building the whole house has taught us an immense amount about integrating modern mechanical systems into timber frame houses and about detailing and finishing work in timber frame homes.
