Picture 4 of 4
All log posts, beams, joists and rafters are fully load bearing structural elements of this home.
Inspired by the Great Camps of the Adirondacks, this house combines rustic architectural forms and modern convenience. The structural and aesthetic core of the house is the white pine log post and beam frame. All posts, floor joists, and roof beams, and the stair case, are fully coped and joined together. The house is embellished with rustic details on both the interior and exterior. A soaring great room with a massive stone fireplace looks out on the Adirondack High Peaks. The client is a rustic furniture builder
, and the house is adorned with his elegant work.
