Champlain Valley Timber Frame Home Exterior
Picture 1 of 5
This cross gabled Timber Frame home is entered on the first floor level but has a full walk out basement that accommodates a home business office.
Built with a “T” shaped footprint, this home’s entry foyer is central to the floor plan and affords an easy traffic flow between the three “wings” of the first floor: the master bedroom, the “bumped out” living room and the kitchen/dining area. The embellished eastern white pine timbers, many of which came from trees harvested on site, dramatically frame the cross-gabled roof and cathedral ceiling living room. Upstairs there is a second bedroom and a work room, with a balcony above the living room. Sited on a beautiful woodland edge overlooking a meadow, the house sports finely detailed finish work and a country style kitchen with ash cabinets built by a local craftsman.
